My biggest boy is starting school!

So my biggest boy, we call him J, will be starting primary school next Tuesday and i just cant believe how quickly this day has come around.
I've held off of letting him try his school uniform on, up until today.. O..M..G.. he looks such a smart and handsome little guy.

I'm still getting my head around the fact that this little guy was once my tiny baby boy completely dependent on me and now he's growing up, has left nursery and he's going to be starting school (big boy school as we call it in our home).
In the months leading up to, J hasn't seemed to have any interest or understanding of the fact that his nursery days were coming to an end and that he is due to start school however, just this past week or so he has not stopped talking about starting school, making friends, every item of food he would like packed in his lunch box and his little face lit up today when he finally saw himself in the mirror wearing his full school uniform complete with new coat and book bag!

Baby D has started nursery this week too! He is 10 months old now and as i am starting a college course i thought it would be perfect timing to put him into nursery to socialize with other babies during my school hours. He has done several short settling in sessions, had his first official 4.5 hour morning on Tuesday and then an entire 7.5 hour day yesterday! 
I've got to say he has done brilliantly, my little man seems to love nursery and whenever i have gone to pick him up he as this blank expression and looks at me as if to say 'what are you doing here??' 
Yesterday was an extremely long day, i had to call in midday just to check on him and that he was having a good day. J missed his baby brother immensely and kept asking me all day where he's gone, you could tell he was bored without his best buddy to play with.

Time is flying by and my boys are growing up ever so quickly but i could not be prouder of these two little humans of mine. I'm wishing my biggest boy all the fun on his new adventure at 'big boy school'.

I decided to start this blog in hope that someone who may share the same anxieties/OCD and anything similar, to me, will find it helpful.    I'm not entirely sure where to start however a little bit about me seems like a good place. I am a 25 year old mum to two boys, my eldest is 4.5 years old and my youngest is 10 months.  I also have a very supportive (and patient) fiance and we have been together for 6 years now. This post was written around August 2017 and although i wanted to post it back then, i just didn't feel comfortable to do so.  I couldn't even proof read it back because it made me feel so uneasy, it was still too fresh in my mind and i have mentioned a few times, if you've read my previous posts, that this was the post that made me feel so awful reading it back that i never felt strong enough to post it. My first CBT session

I wrote up an entire post on my first session and unfortunately lost the lot! Gutted. I'l first explain that i was on a waiting list for Cognitive behavioral therapy for around 6 months which flew by for me as i was doing other things in the mean time to try and help myself through this illness.  If you'd like to have a read of what i done then this link here will take you to my post all about  What i found help relieve the anxiety, if only slightly Although i found other things that helped me i could have really done with CBT back when i was in my worst place with OCD, when i really didn't understand it all or what was happening to me.  The only thing i would say on how waiting so long has worked in my favor is that it gave me time to research and i honestly think for me knowledge of OCD and all the research I've done on the illness has helped me understand how it works.
